UPT (United Protective Technologies) was invited to the annual gearshow hosted by the AGMA Fall Technical meeting and Motion Power Expo in Detroit Michigan spanning from October 21-24, 2025. The show gathered companies from all around the nation working closely with gears, both for promoting their businesses and presenting their research. UPT displayed their collection of various gears showing how their coatings would appear on them and discussed with clients looking for a coating technology for their products. UPT was a part of a presentation that expressed the goal of reducing wear and improving fatigue durability in gears, specifically using a surface nanocoating technology known as DLC (Diamond Like Carbon).

Style Guide
I used brand guidelines provided by UPT to create a booth project to promote their gear products. The booth components were designed physically to showcase their gears, using a white surface on the table to make the black DLC coated gears stand out. The blues and black chosen directly from the guidelines was meant to represent the company as a whole, graphically coming together to make a cohesive and bold brand. The use of white lines and adding gear graphics were custom towards this particular show, adding a touch of creativity and uniqueness. Not only were the graphics successful, the use of simple, clean style with imagery allowed the company to stand out.
